he Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has issued Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 87-2021 prescribing the acceptance of Philippine Identification (PhilID) Card as an acceptable supporting document for proof of address and valid proof of identification for all transactions or frontline services with the BIR.
This is in compliance with Republic Act (RA) No. 11055 or the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Act, which aims to establish a single identification system to provide a valid proof of identification for all citizens and resident aliens as means of simplifying public and private transactions.
